Lestevenie Cabaret 2022

This refreshing new red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot has a beautiful light red color with a dark pink haze. The nose of strawberry and vanilla candy continues and produces an aromatic, slightly vegetal taste of berries with very light tannins. It has good length and balance and is perfect for any occasion. An ideal summer red wine that can be served chilled.

Characteristics Of The Vintage

This vintage saw spring frost, hail and exceptionally dry conditions with rainfall on average less than what we usually expect in the region. Very warm conditions and an extended heatwave in August caused a reduction in the harvest. The impacts on the phenology of the vine are notable, and lead to excessively marked heterogeneity in the stages of maturity of the grapes. The dry conditions were unfavourable for diseases such as downy mildew or Black Rot. Harvesting was done mechanically and took place during the middle of September.
